Marketing copywriting
In my current role as the Communications and Marketing Specialist at PikPok, I write and edit copy for a range of different video game projects and platforms. One of my main tasks is to populate and update the Steam Store page copy for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days.
I’ve also worked across multiple game projects (including Our Darkest Days) to write and edit developer/update notes, pitch decks, app store descriptions, in-game promotions, key internal documents, web pages, and press releases, as well as worked with the in-house narrative team on characters and dialogue. Not everything I’ve worked on can be displayed here due to confidentiality.
In addition, I am a Staff Contributor at Doublejump.co, an Australasian video game website. Here I write and edit opinion pieces, listicles, reviews, and more.
E-newsletters
At PikPok, I send out a weekly email invitation to Show N Tell: the all-company social gathering on a Friday evening. I make sure that this email is a fun and light-hearted read just before the weekend, and encourages people to attend the event.
At HarperCollins, I produced a range of newsletters for both internal and external audiences, including the general public, librarians, and school teachers.
At the University of Auckland, I was in charge of collating material and processing it into a fortnightly e-newsletter distributed to all Arts staff.
Social media posts
I have experience in running Facebook accounts with over 18,000 followers, as well as busy Instagram and Twitter pages. I love writing content that is fun and engaging, and encourages interaction with followers.
Websites
I have managed a number of websites, using content management systems including Adobe Experience Manager, Jahia, WordPress, and custom CMS programs. I write content that aims to be engaging and informative, accompanied by images that catch attention. I have a good understanding of how viewers’ eyes move around a web page, and know how to effectively apply a style guide while maintaining a logical information architecture.
Videos
With a background in Film, Television, and Media Studies, and experience in front of a camera, I helped to arrange interviews and coordinate talent for videos at the University of Auckland, and uploaded the final result to social media and the Arts website.
